Although Elizabeth traveled all over England she spent most of her time in London. Elizabeth's coronation was at Westminster Abby on January 13, 1559. She also lived in several of the palaces in London. Elizabeth was imprisoned in the Tower of London when she was accused of trying to overthrow her sister Queen Mary I. Elizabeth also enjoyed theater and attended several of Shakespeare's plays.
